At TÖASTIE, we’re drawn to people who choose a different rhythm of life - those who explore not through extremes, but through place, season and intention.
As we evolve from Töastie Kids into a family lifestyle brand, our Explorer Series celebrates real lives lived well - grounded, curious and deeply connected to the outdoors.
One such explorer is Suzy.

Who Is Suzy Greenwood?
Once corporate London, now sea swims, coastal paths and van life on the South Devon coast. Suzy Greenwood returned to her grandparents’ home - Seaflowers - renovating it herself while living simply, walking the South West Coast Path, paddling, hiking and falling completely in love with the water. So much so that, in just four weeks, she went from barely swimming to completing the 6km Bantham Swoosh.

What Is Seaflowers?
Once her grandparents’ home, Seaflowers is now a calm, carefully considered space shaped by water, family history and the changing seasons.
Seaflowers is a place to pause - a creek front holiday home in Frogmore, South Hams, where Suzy also hosts retreats rooted in stillness, nature and reconnection - with yourself, and with the world outside.
Designed with quiet, calming luxury in mind, the house opens out onto the garden and the creek beyond. Guests often relax the moment they walk through the door.
“It’s about reconnection,” Suzy says. “With friends and family, with yourself, and with nature.”

A House with History…
Rather than erase the past, Suzy chose to weave it into the present.
A model ship built by her great-grandfather sits in the living room. Old oars rescued from the boatshed hang above the sofas. Her father’s school tuck box and workbench remain part of the house.
“I love the contrast of old and new,” Suzy says. “It surprises people - and it feels honest.”

The Moment It Became Hers…
For Suzy, ownership wasn’t defined by paperwork - but by people.
The week before opening, she hosted a dinner party for friends and family in the Seaflowers dining room. It was the first time anyone had ever sat at that table.
“That was the moment it felt like mine.”

From Corporate Career to Creating Experiences…
Suzy doesn’t see her move away from corporate life as a departure - but an evolution.
Her strength has always been delivery and excellence. What’s changed is where that energy goes.
Today, she focuses on creating meaningful experiences at Seaflowers - for milestone birthdays, family reunions, retreats and precious holiday time.
“The biggest gift Seaflowers has given me is freedom,” she says. “To live life on my own terms.”

A Life Led by Seasons…
Life now moves to a different rhythm.
Spring brings possibility. Summer is spent outdoors - swimming, hiking, exploring. Winter is about restoration, both for Suzy and for Seaflowers itself.
“I’m learning that rest is just as important as momentum,” she says.

Water, Courage and Growth
Open water swimming plays a central role in Suzy’s life.
Learning to swim properly as an adult reminded her that fear isn’t something to avoid - it’s something to move through.
“We can do hard things,” she says. “You just have to back yourself.”

Redefining Success
Success once meant job titles and salary. Now, it means freedom and connection - to the sea, to nature, to community.
Seaflowers is both the enabler and the catalyst.
One summer moment stands out: guests dancing freely on the lawn during a retreat, the creek glistening behind them.
“That was when I knew,” Suzy says. “I’d made it - whatever ‘it’ is.”
Suzy wears our fully waterproof Weatherproof Robe in Black.
Suzy is offering an exclusive 10% off stays at Seaflowers for Töastie subscribers until the end of April 2026.
