Posted by Kirstie Duke on March 29, 2024

This makes a really wonderful alternative to giving eggs this Easter and your kids will love making it.

All you need is:

300g plain chocolate

300g milk chocolate
1 x 90g packet mini candy-coated chocolate eggs
1 x chocolate flake broken into little pieces
25g dried cranberries, chopped
5 mini cream eggs, halved

 How to:
  1. Line a tray or baking sheet that measures roughly 24 x 35 cm with non-stick paper.
  2. Put the chocolate into a bowl. Melt over a pan of simmering water until runny. Pour onto the tray and tip to cover the surface. Sprinkle with cranberries.
  3. Remove half of the mini candy-coated chocolate eggs. Bash the remaining eggs to break them into little pieces.
  4. Scatter over the crushed eggs and then scatter over the cream eggs, whole candy-coated chocolate eggs and chocolateflake.
  5. Put in the fridge for 1 hour to set, then break into pieces.
